We are not just another rodent supplier.

Our US produced rats are grown on a farm in the great state of Oklahoma.  Ask your current supplier the origin of the rats being offered.  The answer may surprise you.    

You are what you eat!  So are your reptiles but many people do not consider what the rodents are eating.  We have always insisted that our feeder rodents are fed only the highest quality Mazuri Lab feed.  This feed is very expensive so most rodent breeders opt to feed dog food or lower quality foods that save them money without regard to the end user.  WE are the end user.  We are feeding these rodents to our reptiles so the cost is irrelevant to us.  

Long ago I discovered that feeding high quality rodents results in healthier snakes, higher clutch sizes, greater fertility along with all the other health benefits that come with a healthy diet.  We have made hundreds of thousands of dollars in investments for our state of the art rodent facility.  It's the only way to maintain quality control and ensure steady supply for a reptile breeding facility of our scale.  I have never cared how much the cost when it comes to providing the best animal care and our rodents are certainly no exception.  Filtered water systems and high quality lab diets along with Freedom Breeder systems create a top quality rodent that exceeds anything I could find on the market.

We are now offering the same rodents we feed our reptiles directly to you.  Profit is not the motive.  The reason we are starting to offer this is two fold.  First we are responding to customer demand (Wilbanks has always been a customer driven company).  Second we need to continually turn over frozen stock to ensure a fresh product for our colony.  This means we need help feeding off rodents that are frozen during slow feed times in the reptile breeding cycle.  If we can break even on production and packaging costs then we have accomplished our goal.

All rodents come vacuum sealed to preserve freshness.  These packages are resealable to keep any partially used packages fresh.  We package in small batches in order to keep vacuum seals in tact for as long as possible.
